The Spiral at Telios Farm was inspired by an activity called The Cosmic Walk that a friend led for my students several years ago. A colleague of mine, Mike Devenney, studied with Matthew Fox. It was a ritual created by Sister Miriam MacGillias of Genesis Farm as a way to connect participants to the 13+ billion-year evolution of our universe and to experience their part in that unfolding. 

Sometimes the Spiral will be used for that ritual, but mostly it offers space for people to take a meditative walk, a personal journey in the spirit of the ancient labyrinth, as found in the cathedral at Chartres, France.
